What engine oil should I use for my mazda 3 2008 model

I have been using 10w40 for my Mazda 3 2008 model and recently I came across a source that says it is recommended to use 5w30 engine oil. Should I keep using the one I'm currently do? or change? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Colonial motors recommended me 10w40, It make sense to use thicker oil for years old car I guess.
